Happy Valentine's/Single Awareness Day
So here's an idea...how about NOT expecting all kinds of affirmations of love from outside sources on this day (and then being disappointed when you do not get that advertised $200 necklace or the 20 roses delivered to your office or the surprise candlelight dinner or when you're feeling lonely, unloved and unwanted should you...heaven forbid...not be in a relationship), but instead just being your own Valentine!? Showing compassion and love for yourself, being mindful of and happy about your many blessings, gifts and talents, accomplishments, and goals? And how about then going out and just sharing some of that compassion, love and kindness with the people around you. Every day. Or as much and as often as you can. Just like that. Not just today and not just by spending money on something you're "supposed to" buy. Those are my thoughts on this day...

jetzt muss ich aber auch mal meckern...
so langsam wirst du mir zu amerikanisch. auch wenn du sicherlich mit dem einen oder anderen recht haben solltest, klingt es alles sehr amerikanisch-schleimig...! wie auf so einer hallmark greeting card, nur kritisch....
Häää?? Hallmark Karten sind doch sowas von UNkritisch. "You are the one and only and we were meant for each other"...das ist schleimig :) Dieses ganze Valentinstagsgeplapper geht mir auf die Nerven. Ein Tamtam hier über Wochen mit pinkfarbenen Ballons und Kuchen und Plätzchen und Karten und extra Valentingstagssüssigkeiten...ne danke.
